Paws for Freedom, Inc, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that places specially trained service dogs with people with disabilities. Our focus is primarily on training working companions for people who use wheelchairs, though our program is constantly evolving to accommodate new types of applicants. PFF has placed dogs with people ranging in age from 10 to 65. We have no restrictions; we operate on a case by case basis. PFF has placed numerous dogs in the Midwest, as well as dogs in outlying states like Alabama, Arizona, and Maryland. Applicants are asked to attend a two-week training camp in Overland Park, KS, in order to graduate the program and receive their service dog.
